baby punk

I just love this baby... who sadly won't be a baby much longer. She will be a toddler and I just can't believe it. I wonder if I will be the mother that says ages in months and I'm starting to believe I will be. Each and every day she changes and learns new things. She is so smart and precious and loving and such a personality. She is amazing and I love her dearly. I already think about how she will be when she grows up and I cherish each day of her just being little. It's a weird thing being a mother but at the same time it's really the best thing that ever happened to me. So many things I didn't expect to happen actually did and it seems that this was my destiny all along even though there is so much life to be lived. I seriously sit down and thank god every night that my little juniper is exactly who she is. It's hard to imagine life before as cliche as that sounds.

My Juniper has taught me to slow down and enjoy every moment because who knows what will happen tomorrow. So every day I am happy for it. I don't expect everything to happen like I think it should and I just go with the flow.

Berea First Friday

Just some forgotten snapshots from my little towns first friday that was at the beginning of the month. It went really well for me. I got to meet locals and tell them about my business and make some new friends who surprisingly live right down the road from me, went to the same school as me with the same interests and we are just now meeting. Funny how that works.

This was the first time our little old town has had an event like this and I was really happy with the turnout and all the entertainment. Lots of music, hooping, food, local handmade stuff and fire dancers! I am happy that our little town is doing an event like this! The next one will be the first friday of June and then July and that's it for this year.

I realize now maybe I should show you a little more about the little town I live in...
Also these will be the only pics you get to see of my imperial jade hair. Unfortunately this color faded really quick and in a way that wasn't pretty. Now my hair is a new color... maybe I will share that soon too!

Juniper's 1st Hike

So much to say. So much has been on my mind. Life has been full of disappointments lately that seem to have gotten the best of me. Being a mother is hard work and I envy all those who do it in high heels and a full face of make up everyday. But let me say that being a stay at home mommy is a whole other circus that can pretty much wear and tear on a mother. I just want to take a moment to say that I have a whole new appreciation for those moms who stay at home to take care of their babies and try to accomplish anything else. Your amazing. I know its getting better every day and instead of fighting it I am learning to embrace those things I can't control. Things like not being able to go to the bathroom till she is finished eating or she is full on down for a nap. Things like not being able to pack orders until late hours in the night when she is asleep. Things like living off of 4 hours of sleep because to get things done you have to do them some time. Things like cleaning everyday because she's at the point where shes getting into everything. Average day is 1 load dishes, 2 loads laundry, sweep and vacuum, baby circuit training on everything from rolling carts to bouncaroos, to setting up obstacle courses in the living room to keep her entertained and then putting it all back in her room because I live at my moms and people have to get around.

It takes a toll... on my psych and my body. My baby bump seems to have formed into a permanent muscle that supports the baby (refer to first picture) and I am not too fond of it. I have googled and bought every super food, energy boosting, healthy food I can find to keep up with it all and although it works on a rare occasion... a lot of days are spent napping when she naps, laying on the floor half asleep while she plays, and crying. Lots of crying. I wish I could say different but I think it's just me learning how to be a mother. How could I know what to do or what to expect if I have never been a mother before.

Of course being a stay at home mother comes with its perks. Being able to plan activities that will include our whole family on last minute occasions. Seeing every new accomplishment and hearing every new sound. It's part of the reason I cry because it's going soo fast and it just so sweet. I feel lucky everyday. My heart melts every time she reaches for me and says momma. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that deep in her heart she loves me.

I know this is a temporary state for me. I am praying, meditating and taking time out for myself so that I can be the best mom I can be for my sweet Juniper. I usually write out little goals for myself each month and so far I haven't had the chance to even think. I know I want to focus on getting more sleep, working out, and eating right. That's it.

The Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch

Yes I went to another pumpkin patch. Being a mother has made me want to live to the fullest and take this little one... anywhere I can more than once. In 6 days she will be 3 months! It definitely is getting easier to pack her around to places. She just started giggling and making monkey noises back and forth with me (talking). She is also grabbing things and trying to turn over. She can hold her head and chest up when on her belly and look around. Plus she just keeps getting cuter. Her cuteness is so hard to resist that it keeps me from getting anything done most days but were slowly figuring out how to work around that.

It's amazing how much of a blessing my baby girl is. She has brought my family closer together and made us appreciate the little things a lot more. I noticed my family has become more patient, kind, giving and loving. Juniper has given us all a purpose to live a better and happier life.

I think the biggest enjoyment I get out of life is helping others be happy. Juniper was a gift I could give to my whole family... a little bundle of unconditional love. She is a little pumpkin pie that everyone can get a piece of. She is my amazing little blue eyed, curly headed blessing. At this point my life is complete if something was to happen to me I would leave this world satisfied.
