Date Night: Moving Mountains in Iphone Pics

I have never felt more out of shape since being pregnant in my entire life. I feel about 90 years old. My get up and go is no more. I have to drag myself to do things I use to love to do. I use to climb this mountain at least twice a month but since finding out I was preggo I haven't climbed it. The reasons are because I couldn't even make it half way without feeling like I was going to pass out. My brain was ingrained into thinking that this mountain wasn't going to be moved until after the baby got here.

However... I am proud to say that I climbed that mountain. I don't know what got into me but I felt the need to do it. It did take about 3 times longer than it ever has and afterward a long lasting burning pain in my lower back but when I got to the top I felt like I could do anything, including labor. I needed to climb this mountain so I could feel accomplished. I have felt so defeated lately and this climb allowed me to get over it at least for now.

I can't wait to get my stamina back after the baby gets here. I will say I used the pregnant excuse a lot to get out of exercise which is something I kind of regret but I am working hard for the last 8 weeks to get my body ready for labor. I'm trying to get more water into my diet. Trying to cut back the "eating for two" and trying to walk, stretch and strength train every chance I can. Oh and enjoying lots of naps. It won't be long....

PS... I am realizing that date nights are making me a lot happier and I am enjoying these moments before baby more than I have ever enjoyed moments like these.

Are you getting sick of my date night posts yet?

Date Night : Pontoon in iPhone pics

Please excuse the blurry pics and the late post this week. I haven't felt the best to be honest with you so I have tried to stay relaxed. Plus I have been adding daily exercise into my schedule which leaves me exhausted. It is pretty pathetic how a couple walks around the park puts me in to a 3-4 hour sleep coma when I get home. I am starting to feel the uncomfortable pains of pregnancy I guess and trying to get ready for labor.

This was probably the best date night I have ever had. It was last minute and involved my two younger sisters. We enjoyed an afternoon on a pontoon! We went swimming, fishing and rode around the lake. The end of the night was spent on a cove roasting hot dogs on a campfire and playing with sparklers. It really couldn't get any better than that!

32 weeks!

I have so much going on during the end of my pregnancy. A camp in less than 3 weeks to plan and prepare for, a surprise for my sisters birthday, still have to set up and finish the babies room, and prepare myself for labor.

How is your week going?

Date night: Camp Out in iPhone pics

So I think the date night posts are here to stay for a while at least and most likely will always be captured by the Iphone. So wabammmm welcome to a new series of posts that will hopefully...

A. Keep the date nights for me interesting
and
B. Inspire you to try something different for date night

Yesterday my sister invited Justin and I to her boyfriend Cody's farm/backyard to fish and have a little campfire cookout. I have been dying to camp out but afraid to because it's hard enough sleeping in a bed with this big belly. However this afternoon of fishing, exploring, 4 wheeling, and campfire food was the perfect fix for that camp craving I was having. It was literally one of the best days I have had in a long time. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious and the view was literally like heaven.

Plus the company was super sweet. Nicky and Cody had hot dogs ready to cook, smores, a cooler of drinks, a radio, wood for the campfire, and even a canopy. They really didn't miss a note on this sweet melody of a afternoon. I was very impressed. My Phoenix had a ball exploring and running free it was sooo cute. He even disappeared for a bit and came back with a rib bone he found in the forest.

I don't know about you but it is already feeling like summer. I am so excited!

Date Night: Put Put in Iphone Pics

Ever since I found out I was pregnant my life kind of went crazy or it seemed like it did. Finally things are settling and I am beginning to understand that it will be ok. Justin and I took some time apart which helped us realize how much we miss and need each other now more than ever. We aren't jumping back into a place together anytime soon were just taking the time to figure it all out and enjoy each others company. I am so happy we made the hard decision of taking the time apart because it really worked. Were smiling and were taking care of each other.

One of the hardest things after being together for almost 7 years is trying to find something new and exciting to do. You either get stuck in a rut of movies and fast food dates or you just get in fights about what to do. Both of you want the other to plan a fantastically fun date because you feel like your always the one making the plans but in reality both of you have a hard time figuring out what to do after all it feels like you have done everything.

That's been a problem for Justin and I for some time now. Then I recently came across this post on how to keep the spark by The Freckled Fox and began to see things a little differently when it comes to my relationship with Justin. Reading through the list I saw a bunch of things we did do always but then I saw some things that I took for granted. It helped me realize that a relationship shouldn't feel like a chore, it should just flow and when you allow it to flow it will all work out.

Today it flowed. We didn't argue or fight we just went with it. We didn't bother each other about what we were doing next, we just went with it. It was a good day, that was the only "plan" in my head and crazy enough it worked. I haven't seen such genuine smiles on our faces in a while.

So as random as this post is I guess what I am saying is that one of my new personal goals will be making date nights more interesting. That includes making time for dates, cutting off from technology during dates, keeping a list of interesting date ideas, and pushing ourselves to do something a little different but not aggravating each other about what is next. The motto is Let it Flow... I am imagining myself saying this when I catch us beginning to question our date.

The exciting thing is this baby girl will bring a whole new kind of date night for us. It will make the simple things more exciting. However I want to make sure that when we get a chance by ourselves again when she arrives we are sure to make it special.
